Showcasing a performance-oriented approach to language teaching and learning, the annual cabaret performance each spring has become a tradition in our department.
Nikolaus Euba teaches a course (German 102 A) on analysis, discussion, adaptation, and public performance of primarily poetic texts inspired by German popular culture, which culminates in this performance. The course stimulates innovative approaches to reading and interpreting poetry. Students have also performed at the Goethe-Institut San Francisco and at the Excelsior German Cultural Center in Oakland.
