Johannes Nils Stuhrmann

Bio/CV: 

Johannes Nils Stuhrmann is set to join the department in Fall 2025. Prior to arriving at UC Berkeley, he earned Master of Arts degrees in German literature and linguistics from Humboldt University of Berlin and Washington University in St. Louis. He then taught German at several universities, most recently at Tongji University in Shanghai, with funding support from the German Academic Exchange Service.

While a graduate student at UC Berkeley, he plans to continue researching medieval texts and pursuing projects on the relationship between temporality and affects, as well as broader topics, such as the intersection between moral philosophy and psychoanalysis.
