Jensen’s article, “Heinz oder Monika? Er oder Sie? The Importance of Inclusive Language in the L2 German Classroom,” in AATG’s Die Unterrichtspraxis/Teaching German, argues that supporting trans and non-binary students in the classroom is integral, not only for affirming the value of world languages and improving program enrollment, but also for fostering an inclusive and comprehensive learning environment for all students.
