Bio/CV:
Thomas Siemerink joined the Ph.D. program in German in Fall 2025. His research interests lie in (post)colonial and intercultural studies, migration, transnationalism, and European identity in twentieth-century and contemporary Dutch and German literature, art, and media. He plans to pursue a Designated Emphasis in Dutch Studies.
Thomas holds a B.A. in German and an M.A. in Intercultural Communication from Utrecht University, as well as an M.A. in Modern German Literature from Freie Universität Berlin, where he also taught Dutch.
